Aloha, and welcome to our new blog post. This has been a long time coming. During this time of the COVID pandemic, and now the Black Lives Matter movement, we thought it high time to bring our voices to the forefront in support of the causes that need fighting for. While we would like to be out there to protest (anyone that knows us, knows that Pilialoha is one of the security guys from the Hawaiian community and is a protector by nature) we know that it simply is not safe. We have decided that the best thing that we can do as business owners is to bring awareness and to put out proper information in support of this historical movement that we are alive to be a part of.
We do intend for this blog to eventually be a source of information regarding our Hawaiian culture; however, we've decided to begin this blog with letting our voice be heard in support of our Black brothers and sisters being plagued with such injustices. We are POC (People of Color), and at any point and time, Pili, our Dad, or little brother could easily be in the same position as Mr. George Floyd. Yes, Dad is Black; therefore, making Pili and our little brother black men. This fight is our fight too.
We pray that you are all safe and healthy during this time. We endeavor to be in touch with each of you more as we restructure our website and build our blog.

We are A Bit of Aloha Designs. As Kehau is the primary artist of the company (everything made is her designs), I, Pili, am the guy that types the blogs. Just as we do most things together in life, Kehau and I will also be co-authoring the blog.
